I am thrilled to officially announce the ARGANZ 2027 Meeting, which will be hosted in Sydney, 20-21^st March. Building on the incredible success of our past meetings, the 2027 program promises to deliver world-class education, cutting-edge clinical insights, and invaluable networking opportunities.

I am absolutely delighted to introduce our exceptional international keynote faculty for 2027:

Prof Victoria Chernyak (USA)
Prof Victoria Chernyak joins us from Columbia University Irving Medical Center. She is a globally recognized authority in abdominal MRI and oncologic imaging, with a specialized focus on primary liver malignancies. As Co-Chair of the American College of Radiology’s LI-RADS Steering Committee, she has been instrumental in creating and standardizing the universal liver imaging lexicon used worldwide. A deeply passionate educator, she is also the Editor for Radiology in Training and was honoured with the Society of Abdominal Radiology’s prestigious Richard H. Marshak International Lecturer Award.

Prof Matthew Davenport (USA)
Prof Matthew Davenport is the William Martel Professor of Radiology and Professor of Urology, as well as the Executive Vice Chair of Radiology at Michigan Medicine, University of Michigan. He is an internationally renowned expert on urologic oncology imaging, renal mass characterization, and the safety and efficacy of radiographic contrast media. He has shaped global imaging standards through his extensive leadership roles, including serving as Chair of the ACR Committee on Drugs and Contrast Media, Chair of the SAR Renal Cell Carcinoma Disease-Focused Panel, and current Chair of the ACR Radiology and Data System (RADS) Steering Committee.

Prof Stuart Taylor (UK)
Prof Stuart Taylor joins us from University College London, where he is Professor of Medical Imaging and leads one of the world’s premier gastrointestinal imaging services at UCL Hospitals. He is a premier clinical academic specializing in diseases of the abdomen and bowel, with peerless international expertise in Crohn’s disease, CT colonography, and pelvic imaging. He is a past president of the British Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology (BSGAR) and serves on the executive committee of the European Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology (ESGAR). He Chairs multiple high impact European consensus guideline committees and sits on the editorial board of the highest impact radiology journal.

Friday Program Highlights

Friday will feature an extensive lineup of specialized, interactive learning streams tailored to your clinical focus:

• LI-RADS/HPB Workshop: A dedicated liver workshop deep-diving into LI-RADS and hepatobiliary pathology. Please note that there will be no individual workstation for this workshop.
• ARGANZ workshop on Rectal, Renal, and IBD Imaging: An interactive workshop with two delegates sharing a workstation, focusing on Rectal (staging and post treatment assessment), Renal and Inflammatory Bowel Disease characterization.
• Young ARGANZ Trainee Day: Running concurrently on Friday, this day is designed specifically for our registrars. In 2027, we will feature in-depth discussions and more case-based teaching from expert mentors.

Contrast Ultrasound Workshop

There will be an interactive and practical contrast ultrasound workshop, where delegates will learn how to set up contrast ultrasound and incorporate the modality into their practice and discuss how to apply the technique to assess abdominal lesions.

Networking and Social Opportunities

Beyond the academic program, ARGANZ 2027 will offer many networking and social opportunities. It promises to be an enriching weekend to learn, discuss, share, and connect with peers and experts in abdominal radiology.
