First ARGANZ RAB collaborative visit in Vietnam

ARGANZ has been pleased to partner with Radiology Across Borders since 2019, providing annual lectures for their RABinar program.

4-5 May 2024 saw the first on-site collaboration, with a 2 day Abdominal Advanced Clinical Workshop held at Hanoi Medical University Hospital, supported by Siemens Healthineers.

This was a wonderful opportunity to share learning and make new connections, taking collaboration to a global level.

A/Prof Tom Sutherland and Dr Kirsten Gormly represented ARGANZ with Dr Jash Agraval representing RAB and joined by Dr William Siu from Vancouver.

Lectures were translated live into Vietnamese (and questions an comments into English) with onsite delegates able to use headphones as needed.  The vietnamese translation was broadcast with the live stream, with over 80 radiologists from around Vietnam listening online.  Doctors travelled to Hanoi to participate, with up to 60 present on site, including 2 retired radiology professors and a surgeon.

Professor Au was a marvellous host and we look forward to continuing our relations with Vietnam.
