ARGANZ has been working with the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand (USANZ) to establish links for future collaboration regarding education, research and advocacy.

During Urology Trainee week held in Sydney in November 2025, A/Prof Kirsten Gormly, A/Prof Tom Sutherland, Dr Dean Rabinowitz and Dr Stephanie Tan delivered a series of lectures covering imaging methods, protocols, and interpretation.  The lectures were delivered to 3 different levels of trainees, and have been designed to cover all the imaging content of the USANZ curriculum across their training.  With a co-ordinated approach of imaging education created by radiologists, we aim to improved appreciation of the imaging process, understanding and interpretation of basic and advanced imaging techniques, and improve interdisciplinary understanding and respect.

The lectures were well received and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive from the trainees and the urologic faculty. The lectures will be modified for future years and feedback is being provided regarding the overall imaging content of the USANZ curriculum. It has been a valuable introduction to the USANZ community, has proven the value of collaboration, and will hopefully lead to greater assimilation and partnership in the future.

ARGANZ promotes the idea that clinical imaging is best taught by radiologists and is looking to expand this outreach education program to other medical specialty societies
