ESGAR 2025 Meeting – Amsterdam, Netherlands

The ESGAR 2025 meeting was held from 13–16 May 2025 in Amsterdam, Netherlands, bringing together almost 1900 abdominal radiologists from around the world. The program delivered a rich offering of lectures, workshops, and case-based discussions, catering to a wide spectrum of expertise levels, from early-career to advanced subspecialised radiologists. There were 88 delegates at ESGAR from Australia and New Zealand.

ARGANZ @ ESGAR 2025 Presentations

ARGANZ was proud to support the participation of Australian and New Zealand radiologists at ESGAR once again. This year’s scientific program featured three prominent speakers from Australia and New Zealand:

  • Dr Verity WoodLooking beyond anorectal cancer
  • Dr Jessica YangClosed loop obstruction: Time is bowel
  • Dr James SeowLiver infections: Differential diagnosis and potential pitfalls

In addition, congratulations to Dr Numan Kutaiba who presented his research paper on “Inter- and intra-reader agreement of ANALI and DiStrict scores in patients with primary sclerosing cholangitis”.

The ARGANZ @ ESGAR 2025 dinner was a highlight of the week. Forty delegates and partners gathered to enjoy Dutch hospitality and cuisine in a relaxed and convivial setting. The evening provided a wonderful opportunity for Australian and New Zealand colleagues to connect and enjoy time together in one of Europe’s most beautiful cities.

The ESGAR meetings continue to foster high-level education, professional networking, and international collaboration. We look forward to continued engagement from Australian and New Zealand radiologists—and we hope to see you at ESGAR 2026 in Montpellier!
